About the Artist
Nanci Jaye
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art with a degree in printmaking and textiles, Nanci began her career designing custom fabrics and a scarf line represented in New York's garment district. Her work was stocked at Nordstrom, Henri Bendel, and the American Craft Museum, and featured in Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Women's Wear Daily.
After a transformative trip to Rome — where she was captivated by the Vatican's ancient mosaic installations — Nanci returned to her hometown of Hull, MA and taught herself the craft. Living steps from the ocean, she draws her imagery from coastal life: fish, mermaids, crabs, mosaic windows, and the rhythms of the sea.
Her work is sold through galleries and museum gift shops from Maine to Florida, featured in South Shore Living Magazine and The Patriot Ledger, and available online. As a certified conservation framer with over 30 years of experience, she also brings an artist's eye to every framing project at her studio.
